Raito Yagami, known throughout the world as Kira, is the most feared man in the world yet no one knows its him they fear. The holder of Ryuuku the reapers second Death Note, Raito (referred to later in the mangas as Light) wants to purge the world of all evil. With the Death Note Raito can kill any criminal he so desires, just by writing down the name while picturing the face of his victim. With his undetectable way of killing, Kira has stumped the FBI, the leader of which is his own father, and most importantly his rival L, the greatest master detective in the world. The only problem is L keeps his identity completely secret from the whole world, so theres no way for Kira to kill him. But Raito still manages to do him off, utilising Rem as a tool to finish L off, sacrificing Rem's life in the process.
